PlayBetterGolf-Algarve in association with participating Algarve golfcourses are pleased to offer you our own Open Golf Competitions.
Many of you have already been to the Algarve to enjoy a golf holiday and appreciate why the Algarve is such a great golf holiday destination.
In general the standard of the Algarve golf courses are exceptional and matched by the friendliness of the local Portuguese. Add the beautiful Mediterranean climate and you have the makings of a perfect Algarve golf holiday.
We are offering competition golf in the Algarve with a choice of different dates and golf packages. The competition will be amongst 4 golf teams with 8 players each.
The PlayBetterGolf secretary will look after
the scorecards after each round and at the end of the competition we end your golfing break with a fun BBQ or Dinner evening and prize giving "ceremony".
As budgets differ we are offering three different types of accommodation.
The competition price on the left includes, greenfees, Dinner or BBQ evening and prizes.
The costs for accommodation is shown on the right and includes airport and golf transfers.

Competition details
The PlayBetterGolf-Algarve Competition
is open to Golf Groups of 8 players.
Parties of 16 players will be divided
into two groups of 8 players for the
duration of the competition.
Each fourball will be made up of
2 players from two different teams.
During the competition R&A rules apply.
Scoring is based on the Stableford
points system.
The top 6 scores of each team during
each round will be counted towards
the overall team score for the week.
The winning team will receive the
MUCH sought after
PlayBetterGolf-Algarve
trophy!
Individual prizes are also awarded.

PlayBetterGolf is licensed to arrange your flights from anywhere in the UK to Faro. The fare for the flight is payable in full at the time of your booking.
In addition to the price for the flights a charge of
£ 10.00 per person is payable. This charge is for administration costs but it also act as an insurance in case of return flight delays from Faro. These delays could be caused by technical problems with the aircraft, weather delays, volcanic ash or strike action. The insurance will cover you for up to two additional nights accommodation. ( not nessecarily in the accommodation you have booked ).
What to expect from the
Algarve weather
Generally you can expect great Golfing weather
In the Algarve all year round.
Golf courses in the Algarve remain in
great condition throughout the year, although during the wet months of
January and February frequent
showers can lead to wet underfoot
fairway conditions.
This is why PlayBetterGolf-Algarve
have chosen to play their competitions during
the autumn months. The Algarve offers
an excellent opportunity to extend
your golfing season.
For our competitions in September and October
it will be warm and sunny with temperatures
well above the 20c giving you excellent roll
on those long drives.
November and December is usually mild
with crisp bright days averaging
six hours of sunshine.
You will generally find that the greens
will still be in excellent condition for
those extra long puts. Although mild at
this time of year in the daytime,
it is advisable to pack a sweater for
the evenings at least.

memorable PlayBetterGolf-Algarve has

Photographs
Your group photo as well as some individual photos of each player, swinging the club, a
nice bunker shot and a succesful chip.
All done before your first competitive
round on the practise ground as we do appreciate you'll be nervous enough standing
on the first tee!!
